Author Bio:
ANN GOELITZ, Ph.D, CSW - Dr. Goelitz is a writer and a scholar. She received her PhD from Hunter College School of Social Work. Her training includes a fellowship in pain and palliative care and a certification program in dream work. Dr. Goelitz has published on her work with cancer patients and on other end-of-life related issues, co-authored an award winning Resource directory for family caregivers of the medically ill, and has also published on her trauma work. Her current writing projects include a reference book with the working title of From Trauma to Healing: A Guide for Social Workers, articles related to her research on the emotional content of trauma survivor’s dreams, and a book for the general public on stress and coping. She has taught social work at Columbia University, Hunter College, and Western Connecticut State University.
